"I believe music is all about how you feel and what you are trying to say with your music. Some songs have barely any words and others tell a novel. Yet they all express some sort of feeling or message."

My name is Matthew Sapp. I'm 21 years old, born in Efflingham, IL. My inspiration for "Wrapped Up In Tears" was to create something with an illusion of who I am, and connect to the listener in a way that's serious and comical. It's a self produced CD of 6 songs that can be classified into three categories; emo, punk, and comedy. Each song is geared to a particular emotion that I felt when I wrote it and I want you to feel it when you hear it.

My musical experience really peaked at 16, when I started writing my own songs. By the time I was 20 I'd played live for a youth group and live with the band, "For Crying Out Loud" with Mike Cross. I am currently playing in "Black Light Vision", with Chris Sapp. Black Light Vision is a harder edge punk style music, which is my main focus, we also play all the songs from "Wrapped Up In Tears". I also play with George-n-People's with Duane Zimmerman. I've been playing guitar since the age of 9, my father encouraged me to learn to play.

I hope my CD sends alot of emotion in emo. A partial inspiration and basic desire of mine. It's to be taken seriously and have fun with. Thank you for being a part of the Wrapped Up In Tears experience with me.
